
Installing viscous lsd from a 1993 nissan 300zx (aka z32) is rather simple but effective upgrade to any wanting stock open differential s13. Note this swap refers to using non turbo 300zx.The gear ratios are different in the twin turbo 300zx. As result if you use viscous lsd from a turbo 300zx drivabilty will be hampered...
Parts List
- 75/90 Gear Oil
- Brake Clean/Parts Cleaner
- Stock S13 rear axle shafts
- Floor Jack& Jack Stands
- Pry Bar
- 17mm, 14mm, sockets
- Brass Drift
- 2lb Hammer
- Safely secure car on jackstands

2. Begin by removing the 14mm bolts that secure the rear axle shaft to the rear differential.

3. Remove upper 17mm nuts

4. Next Posistion your floor jack underneath the rear differential

5. Next remove last two bolts that secure the rear differential to the chasiss

6. Drain gear oil from the removed differential

7. Remove the stock 300zx rear axle shaft from the differential. Note that the stock s13 axle shaft are shorter. This is normal and will install into the 300zx rear differentail without any issues.


Install is reverse order of removal...
