I found excellent  write up on Nico that shows how to do the install. Unfortunately not all write-ups cover every aspect of the install; with that said I also added some key points that I found missing....

1. Here is how set up dial indicator to check the backlash.

This might sound simple but it very important in order to check your back lash

My final measurement was about .007 thousandths.

2. Gear maker should give results as shown above in the picture

3. Make sure torque down the bearing caps before taking any backlash measurements

4. In order to measure your backlash correctly you need to secure the pinion gear in the vise to keep it from moving .

5. Now that pinion gear is secured, place one of the axel shaft in the diiferential and turn the shaft slowy to measure the  backlash
